It all began with a creative flare and a dream to pair craftsmanship with superior bottle quality.
Upon moving to China, Henri Berthe worked in the distillery industry for several years. Once clients began asking him about creating unique glass bottles for their brandy and cognac, he seized the opportunity and acquired a glass factory, for which he began sketching and designing custom-made bottles himself. In 2005, he developed the first French family-owned glass and ceramic bottle manufacturing plant in China.
Henri Berthe comes from a family of carpenters and craftsmen, which no doubt has had an impact on his creativity and vision. He has an eye for design and a talent for recognizing the importance of balancing creativity with production processes. Innovation and forward-thinking management practices have seen Rockwood grow to become China’s largest bespoke glass and ceramic bottle factory, producing over 650 million bottles annually.
Jane Shuai

As Chief Operating Officer, Jane leads Rockwood’s global operations, ensuring alignment between strategy, production, and execution across all departments. She drives operational excellence, oversees cross-functional collaboration, and upholds the highest standards of quality and performance. Jane is recognized for her business ethic, professional spirit, and technical eye. A master of bottle manufacturing processes, she knows Rockwood’s bespoke bottle design details inside and out. Jane speaks fluent Mandarin and English and has a good understanding of French. She holds an MBA from CEIBS (China Europe International Business School), the most renowned business school in Asia.
Caroline Berthe
Global Sales & Marketing Manager
As Rockwood’s Global Sales & Marketing Manager, Caroline brings a very human touch to client relations. Her empathetic personality and experience in sales and marketing, make her the perfect bridge between clients in locations ranging from Italy to California, Rockwood’s international teams, and the Rockwood factories in China. She is multi-cultural, speaks English, French, and Spanish, and is well versed in cultural nuances and client expectations. Based in Paris, France, Caroline is easily reachable regardless of time-zone differences. She is the daughter of Rockwood CEO Henri Berthe and has been immersed in the industry from a young age. As Rockwood's Art Director, William infuses creative vision into every project. With over 20 years of design expertise, he is the driving force behind developing bespoke bottle designs, labels, gift boxes, and all creative elements essential for our clients’ private label development.
William’s knack for crafting incredibly unique designs ensures that every product stands out while upholding the highest standards of quality. His meticulous attention to detail guarantees 100% leak-proof functionality, combined with a premium look and feel. His creativity and dedication make William the go-to expert for transforming ideas into exceptional designs.
Kathleen Swift
Content Management & New Business Development
As Content Manager and New Business Developer, Kathleen leads Rockwood’s content strategy and drives client engagement across multiple channels. She manages and creates content for Rockwood’s three websites, LinkedIn, and Pinterest accounts, and oversees all marketing communications. Her role has naturally evolved to include new business development, where her deep knowledge of Rockwood and the industry, shaped by years of content creation, enables her to build meaningful client relationships and support company growth. As General Manager of Rockwood’s Shanghai headquarters, Anya oversees daily operations and ensures that each project benefits from the efficiency, coordination, and attention to detail that define the Rockwood team. Known for her calm demeanor, discipline, and professionalism, she is a trusted partner to both clients and colleagues, and the invaluable right hand to CEO Henri Berthe.
Over the years, Anya has developed deep expertise through a combination of administrative and project management roles. Her strong understanding of the complex processes involved in designing and manufacturing bespoke glass and ceramic bottles allows her to coordinate between clients, account managers, technical teams, and head-office staff, ensuring that every client project moves smoothly from concept to completion.

Cecile has been Rockwood's in-house designer since 2010. She is the go-to designer for the more elegant and minimalist bottles, always ensuring that the bottles make a discrete yet effective statement. Her creative designs can be found on store shelves throughout the world, serving even the most fastidious luxury spirit drinkers!
